The Artwork of Be The Ball When Bob Commander, whose illustrations have been seen on magazine covers and in national advertising campaigns for years, put paint to paper, neither he nor we knew that this clever line of golf ball characters would be the end result. In fact, in those early months the phrase Be The Ball had yet to occur to us.
Bob, who is now an integral part of our company, was first commissioned to draw a few animal characters that would represent images for our on-course card game. But, when he first drew a little golf ball with arms and legs lounging on a beach chair in a bunker, we knew the campaign was destined to change. Now, that little character is featured on twelve humorous images that captured the imagination of the golfing public and have generated national acclaim. The Be The Ball collection is now featured on posters, calendars, apparel, and golf accessories throughout the fine art and golf markets.
