The Rules

The game may be played by two, three or four players.

The game is comprised of twelve cards, each depicting a hazard or reward situation encountered on the course.

To begin play, shuffle the cards and distribute them equally among the players. Assign a value to each card.

When a player hits a shot depicted on one of the cards, he receives that card.

Upon receiving a card, the player holds it until another player hits that same shot. The card is then passed to that player. Cards should be exchanged between holes so as not to slow down play. This process continues throughout the round with no limit on how many times a card is passed.

At the end of the round, those players holding hazard cards pay the other players the value amount of each card. Those holding reward cards receive the value amount of each card.

Birdie, Long Ball, Greenie, and You da Man are the reward cards.

The You da Man card is awarded for a Hole-In-One, an Eagle or a Chip-In.

Long Ball, longest drive, and Greenie, closest to the pin, may be awarded on designated par fives and three pars on the front or back nines, or on both.

If a male player fails to hit his drive past the ladies tee, he receives the Drop Em card.

Take a second drive and receive the Mulligan card.

Variations to the game are encouraged, such as:

The You da Man card may be assigned a higher value, and may be used as a wild card.

You may choose to turn the Beach card into a reward card if a player gets his ball up and down.

For ladies, Drop Em does not apply. Create your own version of how a card might be played.

The Game Within the Game can be played along with other games. Have fun and Be The Ball.
